Assoc. Prof. Michael Jorge Peralta, MSc, MSPT, Ll.M. shares what intellectual property is, why it is important for us as physical therapists to be familiar with it, and how he relates his physical therapy background in his current role now. He is currently working as the Executive Assistant for Intellectual Property and Research in the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation in the University of Santo Tomas.

Michael Peralta is the Executive Assistant for Intellectual Property and Research in the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation in the University of Santo Tomas. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Physical Therapy from the University of Santo Tomas. He earned his Master of Science in Physiology from the University of the Philippines - Manila. Lastly, he earned his Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from the University of Turn, Italy. He is a licensed physical therapist and a Certified Patent Agent.
